GENERAL BOOKING CONDITIONS

All bookings made on the Majoitusovi.com website are subject to these terms. If any host wants to deviate from this terms, the exceptions are clearly stated in accommodation listing.
CONCLUSION OF THE ACCOMMODATION AGREEMENT
When a customer makes a booking for an apartment, room or other accommodation on the Majoitusovi.com website and the host confirms the reservation, a binding accommodation agreement is entered into between the parties. By making a reservation, the guest undertakes to abide by these terms and conditions.
BOOKING AND PAYMENT FOR ACCOMMODATION
The customer accepts and undertakes to comply with these terms and conditions when making contact with the accommodation properties on the majoitusovi.com website. Contact is made primarily through the website or by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org, in which case the message will be forwarded to the host’s e-mail. When making contacts, the person must be of legal age.
Contact is made by selecting the accommodation destination on the website, (time of accommodation) and how many people will be staying at the destination. When making the contact, the booker will leave all the requested contact information, in which case the host can respond to the contact request. The host and the booker agree on the accommodation. Majoitusovi.com only serves as a notification platform for accommodation advertisements and is not responsible for agreements between the host and the booker. Each host has their own booking conditions to which the booker is expected to commit.
The host will send arrival instructions and other important information about the stay to the booker’s e-mail in good time.
The customer pays for the accommodation directly to the host in accordance with the conditions specified by the host.
INCLUDED WITH YOUR ACCOMMODATION
ARRIVAL INSTRUCTIONS AND KEY DISPLAY
After confirmation of the reservation, the host of the accommodation will send to the customer the arrival instructions as well as the instructions for handing over the key via the messengerservice of the Majoitusovi.com.
The property’s cleaning policy must always be checked on the property’s announcement. The need for cleaning during the stay is handled by the guests themselves.
NUMBER OF ACCOMMODATIONS
The property must not be occupied by more than the number stated in the booking. After booking, the number of guests can be negotiated with the host. It is forbidden to use a tent, caravan, caravan or rental services (eg bath tub) in the property or to bring the property into the yard without the permission of the owner.
LIABILITY FOR DAMAGES
The person making the reservation is obliged to compensate the damages in accommodation or its movable property for the duration of their stay, which is not due to normal living and wear. The booker undertakes to compensate for such damage when making the reservation if the host so requests. Such damage shall be evidenced by photographs of the host, or by any other appropriate means. The host should always notify of such damages by email to email@example.com . Majoitusovi.com can act as a mediator in this situation. The host will make a cost estimate in writing and the invoice will be sent to the customer. In the case that the customer loses or does not return the keys / key, he / she shall be responsible for all costs and work involved in re-serializing the lock.
PETS AND SMOKING
Smoking is strictly forbidden in all areas, indoors and in the loft, and is not allowed in any area, even with the exception of permission. The host will show guests the nearest allowed smoking area. Pets are described in the policies for each announcement.
COMMENTS ON THE ACCOMMODATION
If you notice any deficiencies or issues during your stay that are not in accordance with the notification, please contact the host immediately. Deficiencies that has been found after staying are not taken into account. Some accommodations may experience some internet connection troubles. They must be notified immediately to the host who will make his best efforts to fix these issues as soon as possible. The host will not provide refunds for the price of the accommodation due to possible interruption or inactivity of the internet or cellular network.
CANCELLATION OF THE RESERVATION
Cancellations must always be made in writing in accordance with the accommodation’s instructions. Orally canceled bookings are not valid. The cancellation is considered to have taken place at the moment when the information about the cancellation has reached the accommodation. Cancellations reported outside office hours are considered to have occurred on the next office day. The booker is obliged to check the accommodation’s practical refund of accommodation fees when canceling the booking.
In case of illness or accident, you should ask for compensation from your own insurance company’s travel insurance.
HOSTS RIGHT TO CANCEL RESERVATION
In case of force majeure, the host can cancel the reservation. The customer is then entitled to a full refund of the rent. If the booking is interrupted due to the customer’s malfunctioning behavior, no refund will be given.
FORWARD RENTAL OF ACCOMMODATION
It is strictly forbidden to sublet / sublease the property to a third party. The accommodation contract will immediately terminate if abuse is detected. Unless otherwise agreed.
APPLICABLE LAW AND DISPUTE SETTLEMENT
The Contracting Parties shall always endeavor to settle disputes arising from this Agreement by negotiation between them. In the event of disagreement, the dispute shall be settled in the district court of the place of residence. The contract shall be governed by Finnish law.
